Who loves Lucy

It’s been just over three weeks since we released Lucy Dreaming on 18th October 2022, and we’ve had some fantastic reviews, not only on the various platforms (as I type, we still have a 100% positive rating on Steam…not sure how long that will continue for), but there’s also been a lot of love for Lucy in the press.

We’ve received tonnes of reviews, here are a few of our favourites so far!

★★★★ 4.5/5

“I’m coming away convinced it’s going on my GOTY list. I wish I could forget everything about it and experience it all over again.”

Switch player

“The most British point-and-click adventure game ever released. Hell, it may be the most British game ever released, full stop.”

Adventure Game Hotspot

★★★ 4.5/5

“Lucy Dreaming is so good that if it had been presented as a lost Schafer/Gilbert/Grossman collaboration from ’95 that was excavated and polished off for a quarter-century-late release, I’d half-believe it.”

★★★ 4/5

“Lucy captivates when awake and while dreaming. It’s a wonderfully Anglo-centric point-and-click with plenty to love.”

Buried Treasure

★★★★ 4/5

“There’s so much love and detail poured into Lucy Dreaming. That this was written and drawn and developed by one guy is mindblowing. This is an enormous game, both in terms of length and sheer detail. I thoroughly recommend you give it a look.”

Mirror.co.uk

★★★★ 4/5

“The game effortlessly carries its fantastic sense of humour, taking nothing very seriously while simultaneously commenting on life and the world around us.”

Nindie Spotlight

★★★★ 4.4/5

“The story and writing in general is quite clever… and the voice acting really helps to make the most of the game’s humor… Among its brethren it shines as one of the better old-school takes on the genre for “vintage” adventure fans.”
